In this activity you are collecting information on school. Finally, you are presenting
your results in a dialogue.

1. Add to the mind map and write down what and who you can find at
school.These pictures can help you.

Compare your findings with a partner’s findings and add to your
mind map.
Compare your mind map with the word bank on the help desk.

2. Situation

There is a new classmate in your class. He/ She doesn’t understand
German. You will help him/ her to manage the first days at the new
school.

There are two topics, A and B. Choose A OR B:

A. activities at your school

OR

B. school rules

Take the information you need to explain topic A OR B to your new
classmate from the information desk . Take notes in English.

A. Check what you can do at your school (who? when? where?)

OR

B. Check for him/her your most important school rules.

Take your notes and find a partner.

topic A : Student 1: Your partner is the new classmate.Tell her or him about the activities you can do at your school. Take notes what the new classmate likes about it and what she or he does not like about it. Agree on an activitiy you both want to go to next week. Student 2: You are the new classmate. Listen to what your partner tells you. Say what you like about it and what you do not like about it. Agree on an activitiy you both want to go to next week. Swap roles.
