Self-Assessment 1: Writing Texts
Before we begin writing texts in English, take a few minutes and think about the following questions:
When it comes to writing texts, my main

Have you ever actually worked on
improving
a text that was not really satisfactory? That is what you are expected to do. You will get feedback on your text from your classmates
and
you have to proof-read your own text (with special attention paid to your weak points!). With the help of
dictionaries
and
grammar books
you should be able to improve the first draft of your text.
You go on working like this for the next months and you will see a definite improvement in your performance regarding the writing of texts!

When you want to write a really good and faultless text, there are lots of things to bear in mind. Tick the appropriate boxes below and you will see where there is still room for improvement.
